The Ceilidh Finn mast.

(see also www.hit-masts.nl)

Designed and manufactured at our site in Hellevoetsluis, The Netherlands.

July 2000 saw the development of a new mast for Luca Devoti. This mast has formed the basis for further designs since then.

Our masts have been used with different sail combinations to great successes.

Bend curves are available for all current sail forms. Please enquire for further information

Recent developments have included the introduction of T-800 fibres, (middle modulus) into our laminates. Extra fibres to counter torsion effects in the top section of the mast and new fittings including an internal halyard system.

The Ceilidh Finn masts are manufactured with high quality materials, pressure cured at temperature. Detailed laminate ensures adaptability of the bending curves, while prices remain competitive.

Sail matching and bends

Recent developments have led to stiffer masts fore-aft, while keeping the same tip deflections. This requires a much flatter sail entry, something North One-Design in England have successfully mastered.

Masts are measured at three points along the sail track, both sideways and fore-aft. With this information a suitable sail can be made for your mast.

There are many different ways of bending the mast. Ceilidh tries to ensure that the tip of the bent mast is in line horizontally as the lower measurement band as shown here above. If possible measurements with 10kg and 12kg weights should be made.

Please note, DIFFERENT SYSTEMS GIVE DIFFERENT NUMBERS
